Robert James Purdy, 87 of Port Charlotte, passed away October 17, 2013.

He was born April 2, 1926, in Toronto, Canada, to Robert and Mabel Purdy. Predeceased by his wife, Irene Purdy and daughter Laurie. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hubler of Indianapolis, by his son Robert Purdy and wife Debra Purdy of Port Charlotte, daughter Debra Kott of San Juan Capistrano, CA, grandchilden Shawn Purdy of Coral Springs, FL and Russell Kott of San Francisco, CA.

Bob worked in sales and management and retired to San Juan Capistrano from San Diego in 2002, and to Port Charlotte in 2011.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidwell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
