Each year when forevermissed sends me an email on the anniversary of Bob's birthday, I visit the website and look at the photo of Bob smiling, and smile back. I let my mind wander back to my time at Howard University and reflect on how lucky I was to have had a colleague and friend such as Bob.

I still miss him every single day. I am so grateful to have had him as the Leader of The Band...we became who we are because of dad.

I miss our dad so much during the Covid-19 pandemic. He would have been very interested in the science of it all. That's what I find myself interested in...he is never far from my mind. My daughter reaps so many benefits from the gifts dad gave me. --mary

With our dad, it didn't matter what the situation was, he had a solution. We had seat belts in 1955. We always had to "buckle up". We had fire drills in our house, and myself and each of my 5 siblings are still here today. Dad even drove my motorcycle, after fixing it.  On top of these simple, but important things, he did incredible things, quietly, for this country.  May his innovations, clarity of mind, and generosity of spirit, never cease to affect others.

Bob saw things in me which were invisible to others, including myself, before our acquaintance. Very grateful for our brief friendship.

I'll miss my "grandpa"! He used to call me his adopted Nigerian grandson while I was at Howard. I have so many fond memories of him - sharing his tofu, cultural and pronunciation lessons, his interesting stories etc. I actually bumped into this memorial while "googling" his name to try to get in touch again. I guess i'll now keep the C++ textbook he loaned me as a souvenir. Adieu grandpa!

Bob was a part of the Mok family for 30 years. He saw me, my sister and brother grow up, and was a part of my own children's lives. Some of our memories of him include his fondness for NPR (Car Talk, in particular), his many world travels with our mother, his drawing and appreciation for art, and his willingness to try and fix anything (usually with his tongue stuck out in concentration)

Mr. Gault was a kind man and I am honored to have met him while I was a student at Howard University. May he rest in peace.

Bob Gault was my first professor at Howard University, since he taught the very first course for computer science students. I remember him being very patient and always willing to take as much time as necessary to explain the finer point of C++, the vim editor and the gdb debugger to baffled students. I feel very fortunate to have had Bob Gault as one of my earliest mentors.

I met Bob when I joined Howard U's Dept. of Systems and Computer Science. He was such a bright and kind person with a continual appetite for learning new things, ranging from foreign languages to technology to novels by Rosamunde Pilcher . Bob was very devoted to his family and often talked about helping his grandchildren with scientific experiments. I am honoured to have known Bob.

Dad lived his life with the confidence that he was capable of anything. He demonstrated that as he brought his children along while he explored science, art, technology, music and physics in many venues, including museums, campgrounds and the dinner table. The confidence that I am capable of anything is the gift I received from Dad. For that I will be forever grateful.
