Dear Dad,
Gary and I were so glad to be able to get to your funeral. I was so glad the Minister, who didn't know you, mentioned the trip to Paris that I was able to give you and Mum - what a great time we all had together and how much we enjoyed it. You used to talk about it all the time I was so glad to be able to do it for you both. I shall miss seeing you. I shall miss your forthright humour, your hatred of pretentious and false behaviour,I will have a mass for the repose of your soul said for you in London and the congregation will toast you in your favourite whiskey. Thank you for your great affection for Mum whom I promise to care for diligently. May you rest in peace and rise in glory. Robert
