Today would have been Mom's 93rd birthday. We're thinking of her and fondly remembering birthdays past. --Bill

I was so sorry to miss the service for Roberta. I have such fond memories of her and will be thinking of her today on her birthday.

Roberta was quite an amazing woman who pretty much never let anything get her down. I always appreciated that whatever I would suggest, and whenever I suggested it, she was always ready, willing, and eager to go. Kind of like the energizer bunny. Unless, of course (and this was a really big condition) she thought one of her children or grandchildren just might come by. The world stopped for all of you guys! She will be missed.

Roberta and I shared many wonderful experiences when we lived on Confederate Lane in Fairfax. She was always there - providing wise advice and helping with my four young children. We remained in touch throughout our many moves. She was truly an admirable role model - always on the go and helping others where she could. I will miss her.

While it's never the right time to say goodbye, it's good to know that Mom passed away peacefully with kind, thoughtful people caring for her in the end. If you would like to make a donation in Roberta's name, we're suggesting a gift of thanks to the Capital Caring Alder Center hospice. --Bill

This is just one of the things I find myself thinking about: Roberta was strong till the end, carrying on the best she could these last months with an aggressive brain tumor making things increasingly challenging for her. All that exercise, all those years, kept her body in amazing strength, especially remarkable for a 92 year old. Her example inspires me to stay fit and stay strong.
