I am saddened by the loss of a great man, a good friend, and a wonderful family man. To the Mendez Family, we are sorry to hear of the passing of Rodolfo. He fought for what he believed in. He shared his laughter and smile with everyone. He shared his knowledge with his students and created a learning environment so others could thrive and create work for their families. He dearly loved his family and was always so proud. I will miss a great man, a colleague, a dear friend. My life was better with having been touched by him. Thank you. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 5, 2016 11am at St. Ann Church 3601 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, LA 70006 Visitation will be held earlier that morning 9-11am. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception at the Mendez home immediately following.

I am so sorry to hear of his death. He was such a good friend and neighbor to my parents, Allen and Winnie Faucheux. I am forever grateful to him for that. My prayers are with the family.He is probably in heaven with my dad eating Eskimo pies and telling my dad a wonderful tall tale. Thank you Mr. Mendez for all you have done for my parents.
