Bro Fritz
I Remember the first time I ever met Bro Fritz and His Wife Donna it was when I was in Miami at Bro and Sis Shewmaker's Home. I Just remember When I told Him my name was Amanda I Remember some Conversation about the Show that used to be on called Heehaw juncton Bro Fritz and Bro Shewmaker would talk about that show and my Name being the same as that Lady. He was always Just so Sweet and Funny. When He would see me he would kid me about do I have a Boyfriend Yet He and a Lot of other Preacher's would kid me about this When I was at Gospel Meetings. When they Moved away to TX Is the Last time I saw them. I will Miss Him and His Wife so much. Love You Bro Fritz.
Memories
The first memory that occurred to me was the night Donna stayed with Joyce while Todd and I went to a gospel meeting. It rained so much there was about a foot of water in the drive way when we returned.
Then I thought about Todd showing me an offset printer in his office at the church building in Fort Wayne. It was like, or nearly like, the one I was using to print the bulletin where I was. Todd said it was too much trouble to use and he had no intention of learning how to use it. I must admit that I often said, "Printing a bulletin on one had to be a labor of love, otherwise I would not have done it."
We first met during the '60s at Fort Wayne. He told me about a phone call he received while preaching in upper Michigan. He said, "The man kept calling me Todd and I kept trying to think of who he was. Finally I asked him how he knew me and he didn't. I asked him why he kept calling me Todd and told him only my friends call me Todd."
I will be eternally greatful to Todd for the help he gave my grandson, Jared, when he was in Lubbock. I am confident Jared is a better personal worker than he would have been without the influence Todd had on him.
