I'm so sorry for the loss of Ronald Mims. He was a kind person and a man who loved his family. Valerie, I am praying for you and your family in your time of sorrow. Love you all and may God continue to be with you all.

What an amazing person and remarkable life! I’m so blessed to have had Ronald A Mims a.k.a BeBe in my life for well over forty-five years and he will remain with me in spirit. For me, the name BeBe meant, “big brother” which is who/what Ronald had been for me. Ronald was my youth counselor at New Pilgrim BC, my pastor at Green Liberty BC, and my confidant. I thank God for placing him in my life and Valarie, Ashley and Stephen for sharing him with me unconditionally. As I celebrate the life of a wonderful man of God and mourn his transition from earth to heaven, let me remember that earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal. BeBe has not left me, he just preceded me. When BeBe exhaled on earth, he inhaled in heaven!

I remember being a patient in UAB Hospital a few years ago. Ronald was walking past me and stopped. Even though he was there to visit one of his sick parishioners, he took the time to talk and pray with me.I was truly honored and grateful to have him pray for me during that challenging time in my life.He was definitely a pastor whose desire was to serve and please God.
