Happy Birthday Ron.  Still think of you and God's amazing blessings over our family in the last days of your life.  So grateful that we are eternal, and so this birthday is not missed or wasted on you. See you soon.
I love you.

I'm so happy to update that Ron's ashes will be resting in Graham, WA at his sister Karen's cabin. He's always talked about moving there. They will be planted with a display of Asiatic lilies and Red Danish Flag Poppies, with a lovely view of Mt. Ranier in the background.

I love you Ron, and I miss you. My big brother. I'll always remember the fun we had as kids and all the trouble you got us into. Remember on the farm how it was so much fun to break the neighbor's chicken's eggs and watch them eat the eggs? You really got us in trouble with that one.  Any way, we'll see you soon.

Ron was excited about our wedding when Kirt and I were married. My Mom and bridesmaid lived out of state, and Kirt was working and going to school full time, so I did almost everything myself. Ron offered some thoughtful suggestions for the church reception, and even rented a punch fountain for us. His support made me feel welcome and loved.

I remember when I was a little girl and you came to live in LA for a couple of years. You gave me a little embossed silver trinket box lined with red velvet. I kept it for years. Looking back I think of what a thoughtful young man you were to pick out such a give for a little girl. I will always remember you in that way - a kind and gentle soul.

Thankyou for your generous and loving presence in my life. You cultivated my love for adventure, beauty, knowledge, music, and most importantly God. You showed me God's unconditional love in so many ways, and this was the oil that healed so many of my wounds. I find solace now in knowing all of your questions are answered and your own wounds are healed. (PS Don't worry about your kitties.)

Ron. I dreamt you looked like when I was a boy. You said, "I love you and we hugged." All felt healed. I thought of you the next day at work and how long it had been since we had spoken. Then I heard that you had died that morning. That is an amazing exit, Ron. It softened and healed my heart in ways I can't understand. It is beyond me. I'm very grateful to you and God for that grace.

Ron is at rest in Tahoma Natl Cemetary

November 2, 2014

Ron's desire was to live in Washington close to me.  That has come to pass, but not the way we expected.  He rested in our basement from November 2013 until after Christmas until we could get his permanent resting place.   Tahoma Natl Cemetary is a beautiful place and has a gorgeous view of Mt Ranier which he loved.

Just wanted to say that I didn't know Ron very well but he was a nice man and I did enjoy talking to him.  He really didn't talk too much .  I got to know him  when we all went on our senior church trip to Tenn.  We actually got him to talk about his younger days , his love for God and  his cats.  I know he is at peace now and is rejoicing in heaven.

I enjoyed serveral trips over the years with Ron to places like Bar Harbor Main and Seattle.   But this movie slide show is a most memorable trip that Ron helped make possible by agreeing to help a friend and I drive Ron's Van straight through, 18 hours, to Devils Tower Wyoming, so we could climb it and come back over one 3 day weekend.   Crazy kids ....
