I don't think words can describe the woman Mema was. Even though she wasent my biological grandmother. I didn't even know that until she passed. That's how much she was part of my life. She never once said otherwise either. That's just how special she was. She taught me how to be a strong God fearing woman. How to treat everyone equal and most of all to love thy neighbor. She taught me that family isn't just blood but the people who make a difference in your life. The ones you grow up with and the ones who are there for you no matter what. I could write a novel on all the things that Mema did and how special she was. She was just the most inspirational woman I have and will ever meet. Mema I love and miss you with all my heart. And we are the lucky ones to have been blessed with such an Angel. You will always be with me and all the rest of your children, grandchildren, etc.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to express how much I loved Mama Rosa or how grateful I was to have her in my life, to have her there for me no matter what. She put up w me and my many, many ongoing issues w boys, school and all other areas that life encompasses.  It seems like yesterday that she left me physically. I say it like that because she will never, ever leave me emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Mama I love you and miss you from the depth of my soul. Thank you for being my mother and loving me.

there can't be more than one Rosa Jackson Guyot? I met her in 1968 when she lived in the old Lion Trainer House at the Studio Lot in Culver City California near LA. I got her name from the Jewish Welfare Society as I was a homeless mother who had run away from an abusive husband. Through knowing her I met the Isely Brothers and Jimi Hendrix among others and moved with her to Crenshaw Blvd

Here was a woman who loved children & the many orphans and others who she kept loved her as did me and my son, Joseph Afaghi who still lives in Los Angeles after being raised in Iran. Debbie, is that you? I hope I have the right Rosa cause she was from Texas too. I remember beautiful Debbie and how well she played piano and the other musical kids. My husband stole my son during that time
