We played Canasta yesterday. At the beginning of our Canasta game, we always ring a bell in remembrance of the four members we have lost. We had a special remembrance for Rosalie since it was her birthday. She and I shared March birthdays. Such a sweet lady and wonderful friend. Miss her!

Wow!! Been missing Mom today especially. And then I saw this, a gift from her and God I think. Today is my Mom's 77th birthday. She moved to heaven two weeks ago today It has been a quiet day so far, just thinking about how precious and sweet and beautiful she is, and how she always blessed everyone with kind encouraging words. She had some tough days the last two years since her watershed stroke. She bore it all with dignity and grace, never complaining. I believe she just wanted to spend a little extra time with us before moving on. Thank you for staying here with us for awhile. I treasure the extra moments I had with you, and I will see you soon! I love you Mom!

Please know that many caring thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow. I feel blessed that I got to meet and work with Rosalie at Texas Department of MHMR. She became a very dear friend and I feel fortunate to have so many wonderful memories. I will never forget her beauty, sweet smile, kindness and humor. I will miss her, but never forget her.
