TRIBUTE TO A BELOVED FRIEND.
Rose, Rosa, mother as I fondly called you. It is hard to believe that I am writing a tribute in honour of your memory. I knew very little of you in the days of GTC KUMBA when you visited me with Emilia Ebika (my small). I later met you in ENSET DOUALA and your intelligence and sense of humor caught my attention. We later on worked together in GTHS OMBE where our bond of friendship grew stronger. There were shared this 'big sister small sister' relationship. You did not to come closer to my family as you found time to visit me in Limbe and so did I.Rose, you shared your successes and failures with me and sometimes sort for my advice.
In you I saw a fighter, a woman who believed in hersrlf, dreams and aspirations ; someone who will not allow her personality to be dragged in the mud no matter what. You stood for justice in and out of your family circles. Your objectivity in handling issues sometimes hurt both family members and friends who saw you as being too critical. No, you stood for the truth and nothing but the truth, you will not give room for anyone to trample on the rights of your loved ones.
Mother, I admired you for your intelligence and creativity and this mad you the self made woman you were. You were always into one project or the other . Yes you had dreams like any other human being . I am thankful for to God for giving you the opportunity to go this far in realizing your dreams because there were moments that your health was a cause for concern to your family and friends. I give God the glory for taking you this far.
Rose, I can go on and on, when I visited you last August, we could barely catch some sleep as we discussed late into the night. Oh if only i knew those were the last moments were were spending together in this planet. Yes, Rosa, you have left legacy and your beloved son Franklin will continue with it.
Good night Rose, sleep well Rosa, Bye bye mother.
