Her special day was one we made her feel like she was the queen, and she was to her 8 little angles she called us, only but when we were asleep.  Mother was the kindes and gentle woman I wanted to be alike.  I wanted to make mom proud of her eldest daughter, I hope I've done that MOM.    I worte a poem of a journey for her in her memory.,.  
The poem is titled:  A River's Journey
     A River's Journe is long and some times winding
A river's journey to it's home sweet home
     Life is but a journey - with twists and bends
Which way should we go, wheich bend
     the waters gently caress the banks of the earth,
Like the waters that gently touch the banks,
     I remember your strong but gentle ways,
For the love we shared, none could compare
     But like a River's journey - you had to travel on.
You were to go before me - to show me the way
     A journey which was straight to our eternal home
As we follow the River's journey to Our Lord
     Across the mighty Jordan River
I know you wait for me there
     Like the River's journey -
My travels are long and sometimes winding
     And like the River's Journey-
I'll travel to our home-sweet-home.

Like you I'll join our Lord someday, where you are Mom and from one daughter to her mother I Love you and miss you.  God bless you mom, and Happy 85th Birthday.
