The daughter of the late Deacon Thomas and Jessie Ware Horne, Mrs. Spann was a life-long resident of Columbus who was a 1959 graduate of the William H. Spencer High School. An educator at the Carver Height Daycare for many years before retiring from the Columbus Daycare Center. She was a devout member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Choir and PICCM. She was also an Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Claude and James Horne, Jessie M. Brown, Mildred Horne and Velma Davis. 


Survivors include: her daughter, Chris Spann; two nephews, Vincent Kimber and Christopher Kimber (Pamela); a devoted caregiver, Annette Rushing; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
