IN MEMORY OF QUINTESSENTIAL ROSELINE MERETIGHAN 01AUG1971-01AUG2023

August 28, 2023
Roseline Patience Meretighan was born on 1st August 1971 to the family of High Chief M.L Meretighan and Late Chief Mrs Esther D Meretighan.
Roseline attended Ewenla Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos. She proceeded to Surulere Girls Secondary School from 1982 - 1987. She obtained her Diploma from Lagoon Executive Secretarial College in 1991. In pursuit of more academic knowledge and professionalism, she attended Lagos State University (LASU) from 1997 - 2021 and graduated with a B.SC (Hons) degree in Secretarial administration.
Her passion for her craft saw her working for various top-notch organizations as a Confidential Secretary. She started her career with Fast Link Mercantile as a Personal Assistant and then moved on to Laniyan Akintunde and Ibrahim Law Firm as the Secretary/Administration Manager. She performed her duties excellently.

Roseline was employed on 1st July 1997 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital as Confidential Secretary. While at LUTH, her attention to detail, professionalism, high work ethic, and unparalleled diligence, saw her working and excelling in various departments of the famous hospital. She rose to the peak of her career as the Chief Confidential Secretary to the Director of Administration and secretary to the LUTH Management Board. When the Director of Administration retired, she worked as the Chief Confidential Secretary to the Head of the Internal Audit Department. She was later transferred to the Pharmacy Department as the Chief Confidential Secretary to the Director of the Pharmacy and Pharmacy Department.

On 31st July 2023, while on duty, Roseline fell ill on her desk and was rushed to the Hospital's Accident & Emergency Department, where she was stabilized and put under observation. Shockingly, she passed to glory on her birthday in the early hours of 1st August 2023.
Roseline was an active member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries and Reporters. She was a deep lover of God. Her love for God and music saw her join the Choir Department of Daystar Christian Centre where she was a very dedicated member until her death.
Roseline was a daughter, sister, friend, and confidant to a lot of people. She left a big vacuum, and she will be missed.
Good night, Roseline. Rest in Heaven. May your memory be a blessing.
