What a trip! Marti and I today scrolled through the photos on this memory lane, and celebrated how blessed we are (as are all of you) to have had Rubie and Eugene leading the way. Just this week I exercised the nuclear "Rubie" option when a medical facility said "You need an appointment" (not virus-related, by the way). Needless to say, the doctor saw me within ten minutes. Here at home and at Tahoe I take a sentimental journey when I select needle and thread from the sewing kits Mom outfitted for me. Same goes when planting ferns and flowers and trimming bushes with Dad's old shears. Same goes when I am with my adorable sister given to me in 1943. I miss my Mother and Father more than ever, musing quite often over what I wish I would have said and done. Nevertheless, I know that I am a really, really fortunate son. Wherever you are on the family descendent chart, Rubie is your fierce protector and advocate, your loving helper and your energetic cheerleader!
