What an amazing woman! Beautiful, smart, irreverent, brimming with her very special brand of Texas charm. I could never get over how she always found a way to tell everyone how smart and beautiful they were! Especially her son and grandchildren, who hung the moon for her. Ruth left a lovely piece of herself everywhere she went. That smile! It warms my heart still. I will miss her always, and was blessed to have her as my mother-in-law.

Joe,
Your mom was one of a kind and your touching tribute captures her wonderful spirit perfectly. She was lovely, funny, and charming - I mean who could resist someone who told you how beautiful you are every 10 minutes. Your devotion to her was a priviledge to witness and she treasured you. I am so sorry for your loss. Next time we catch up, I'll be sure to tell you how beautiful you are to keep her memory alive.
Paz,
Betty

Joe, thank you for inviting me to see this wonderful tribute to your mother. I was so struck by her beautiful image in photograph number five. The resemblance to you is so strong. She raised a smart and caring son, so while I never met her, I know I would have liked her. You are in my thoughts at this time and I send you deepest condolences.

Joe, thank you for including me in this memorial. I am sad that I never met your mom (or your dad), but I loved reading about her and seeing the photos of her through the years. What a beautiful woman she was. And judging from the caring, thoughtful, loyal son she raised, she must have been a remarkable person in other ways as well. Love and condolences - Gail

I wasn't privileged to have known Mrs. Youngblood, but I do know that her son Joe loved her dearly and took wonderful care of her even when her cloudy mind resisted. I'm sure Joe will miss those pleasanter drives they shared not so long ago.

Ruth was a joy to know and we miss her. I grew up in Corpus Christi and went to school at Calallen and I used to share stories about Robstown, Alice and south Texas with Ruth.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and Clara.

I loved my Aunt Ruth so much! Sadly, that's the last of Sam and Belauh's children. My thoughts are with you, Joe.

I miss Ruthie very much every day I think of her. We traveled many miles, I have so many memories. She was my family, always sweet beautiful smile. She enjoyed singing, riding in the car, Dr Pepper, fries, sweets. She enjoyed attention from those who knew her. I enjoyed dressing her and I think she also liked it. Now she is my Angel I feel now she is watching over me. I miss and love you very much Ruthie. May Joe and family find Special Comfort in the Cherished memories they hold in their heart.

Joe, I met both of your parents here in Horseshoe Bay long after they had retired, but being from Abilene myself gave us a great connection.
I love photo #5; your mom was so very beautiful! And I will always cherish that she honored me by asking me to assist with Joe, Sr.'s funeral. May God Bless and Comfort you in this sad time.
