I think of Ruthie often. She was a light in a sea of gray.

I miss Ruthie's hugs. I think of her quite often. The other day I was reading a scripture that God had given to me for Ruthie when she was with us- Hope you are dancing with the King Ruthie!!!! I miss you...

I was reminded of Ruthie the other day as I was driving along Dahlia Street. It was one of her favorites and she shared it with me. It always puts a smile on my face. Thanks for the memory Ruthie.

It seems like yesterday that you were still with us. I miss your cheerful smile and happy comments but I know I'll hear them again!

One year ago today. Ruthie is truly missed but I'm sure there is no place she would rather be!!!

ruthie you so missed with your smiles and kindness.i,ll never forget the day i went to the water dept and seen a flyer of your passing it was like i seen a gost your were a dear friend of me and my husband and our dog penny we would exchange stories of our pets you love to visit and here the player piano.god called my husband home five months later. i sure hope they find a cure for cancer.

Ruthie truly was a special person, when ever you were around her she always had a smile, and she would always make you smile and laugh and always give the best hugs. She is the most wonderful woman I have ever know. You are truly loved and will be missed.

I will miss my special friend who was nothing but pure JOY. She always had a smile on even when she was in great pain. Her strength came from our Lord whom she loved so much. My Joy now is she's dancing in heaven and singing with Angels praising the one she loves. When we sang the powerful words, 'There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning,' the moment was glorious in Him as you smiled your brightest Ruthie smile. I know now you're wrapped in His joyous arms. It's morning Ruthie... I'm so happy for you my beautiful friend. I love you.

Ruthie, we will miss you so much. Your giant hugs were such a source of comfort to me every week.

"I have been blessed to have shared treasured time with her, mostly at work. We had so many laughs and hugs together, something I will never forget. Recently we had spent some of those laughs and hugs together and she is now with Our Lord to laugh and hug." Love you Girl!

She walked the final walk and is now safe in His arms. She will be sorely missed for her sense of humor and constant smile in the face of adversity.

That everpositive and bubbly enthusiasm will surely be missed ! One of a kind..

Joy & sadness always comes when a child of God goes home. When we lose a special saint like Ruthie however, the anguish between the two is almost torturous. I am burdened by deep sadness at her absence but overwhelmed with the pleasure knowing she is home. I dare say heaven will be slightly less overwhelming for Ruthie having already lived like the Kingdom broke forth on earth.

What a lady!! Ruthie not only believed that heaven was her home, she lived it, walked it and shared it every minute. I will miss her hugs, and hearing the words 'I am blessed! ' and knowing that she really felt the Lords blessings even with all of her health struggles.. I am certain she is celebrating like no other now, and is receiving her rewards which are many. Love ya Lady!!!!

I know that you Ruthie will be waiting in Heaven with open arms to give me a Hug. Sadly missed.

Ruthie, You will always be remembered as the Hug Lady at Northrock Church and you'll be missed. Noone can ever take your place. Your smiles and great attitude are a testiment to us all and I can only hope that when I go through suffering, that I will go through it as well as you did. I can't wait to see you again and get that big hug from you when I get to Heaven!

Ruthie was always such a light to all that knew her. I know that her earthly light went out but, what a glorious light she now is in heaven. A truely beautiful lady that will be dearly missed. Of course we all know the greatness of a "Ruthie hug" but, she also was so encouraging for me in the advice and sweet words she would share. Until we will meet again in heaven. Love you Ruthie!

God’s love bubbled up within her and spilled out of her onto all that came in contact with her. Eyes lit up, smile that sparkled, and as she hugged with all her might, she would say ”God loves you”. We are saddened by her departure. We are grieving our loss. But we have her in our hearts, minds, and memories. She will live on through us until we are reunited with her in Paradise !
