Hi sis ☺️

August 12, 2023
Hi sunshine! We miss you as always, the girls are growing so quickly! I'm going to miss them being little lol, I wish you could have me them and been able to have had silly sleep overs with them, they would have adored you! I promise to pass the patience, compassion, kindness and confidence you taught me to them. Love you sis!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday love! I've been thinking a lot about you! I love and miss you so much! There are no words that explain how bright your light continues to shine evermore on earth, and even more in heaven. I hear your laugh, I look for your smiling face, I continue to thank God for having met you. I am a better and more loving person because of YOU! You will NEVER be forgotten.
Much Love!

You are still so much with us!

November 30, 2015

Happy Birthday Sandy!  It is your 48th now!

Just wanted you to know that I feel so close to you as I work with your lovely daughter helping her put together everything in her new home.  WOW!  I'll be talking with her or see her passing by and do a double take!  She walks, talks and looks just like you sooooooooo much.

You are, I'm sure, very, very proud of her.  She has become this lovely, go getter, young woman.  She's a mover and a shaker and is developing some real talents in managing her life and her work, etc.

Just sit back, girl, and take immense pleasure in watching your daughter grow into all that she is destined to become!

We'll all be toasting you and Cassy too this evening!  Love, Kay Bowman

The Sequins Top

August 12, 2015

So one night about 5 yrs ago Sandy wanted me to go to the Mexican Dance Hall for a Concert. It was all in Spanish but she knew I would enjoy it but I was not dressed for the occation so she insisted I ware something fit for the occation. So she had me ware this sequins top of hers that she had only worn once and didn't like the way it looked on her but was flashy and would help me fit in. It looked great on me so off we went to enjoy some music with her cousins. When we got there she introduced me to some friends of her cousins and one of which had a brother that fell in love with me..or maybe it was just the top. He spent most the night catering to me but had 5 kids he was raising alone and spoke little to no English so I walked away dening him my phone number. He wouldn't give up though and the funny thing was he had become a patient of hers to see if there was any way I would consider dating him. She told him a few times over the next couple of years that the English was a big problem but each time she saw him he asked about me and she would call me and tell me he was still asking about me and said I put a spell on him. We would laugh and laugh about his persistence. We had so much fun that night and I will never get rid of this top

Lasik

August 12, 2015

So I have wanted to tell this story for a long tIme but thought she wouldn't want me to but it a great story and those that knew her well would enjoy it. So Sandy and I got our LASIK eye surgeries done together in the beginning of 2008 and the funny thing was she insisted she didn't want to waist the money on herself because she would be gone soon but her vision was bad and she wanted to make sure her kids got most all the money she made so I told her she didn't have to spend a penny because I was getting a two for one special and our appt was in 3 days. She was scared for the first and last time I had seen but went in with me ready to push through it. We were told it would only take 5 min and she was first. About a minute after the laser started her eye started smoking and she said "What's that smell...Is that smoke coming from my eye?!?!" She laid perfectly still and as soon as it was done she asked the same questions again wondering if indeed that was her eye she saw smoking. And ir was.. They never told us about that possibility. She was in a lot of pain for a couple of days after because her far sighted vision was bad but the beautiful thing was she could read and sign her own receipts and lables and orders. I know it made her life easier. She was so strong that often I forgot about her struggles but I know it made her last years easier. Now I had planned to finance both our surgeries so the day of the surgery I went in early and asked them to not tell her my plan they insisted on writing off her portion. The funny thing was Sandy was always trying to pay for any portion of the surgury that was hers and was too damm smart to believe it was two for one and I finally told her the truth a couple months later. She was so mad at me for accepting their offer that she sent in a check for one eye surgery to be given to someone else. She was always giving to those less fortunate. They never would cash her check and it drove her crazy. I later found out that the doctor that did our surgeries died 3yrs later of cancer and must have understood and I will never forget that day.

August 15, 2014

Sandy, the summers we spent together as kids I will hold close to my heart now and forever. I remember staying up late and playing monopoly (which I still believe you and Mayela cheated), and drinking some concoction out of those forbidden cups....remember those.  We thought we were so grown up!!!  Thank you for sharing your life with us! I also want to thank you for taking care of my dad when he was here.  I know there was many times you visited him at the hospital or saw him in the streets and you were always so generous to him.  You were a true angel to him. THANK YOU! We will NEVER forget you! We will always LOVE you!  Give him a kiss and a tight  hug from us. Tell him his children miss and love him soooo much and that we have tried to stay strong.

Summers

August 13, 2014

The summers we spent together are priceless.  You, me, and all the other cousins had so much fun running around, playing games trying to stay out of trouble.  We did a pretty good job keeping things from our parents!!  :)

I especially loved playing with all your Barbies and the clothes and shoes!!!!  I was in Barbie heaven!!!  I knew you were the luckiest girl on Earth.

You introduced me to horse back riding; oh, how beautiful Beauty (your horse) was and your gorgeous outfits that Tia Flor made for you.

I thank you so much for always opening up your heart and home to three kids from a small farming town.  You always made us feel so loved.

Sandy, thank you for all the wonderful memories; I will forever cherish them.

Please, watch over my Daddy; I know he was so proud of "La Chanata".

I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!
