momories and regrets

August 25, 2013

She was the mother to 4 and the grandmother of 6, two of which she raised.  She loved the casino, she loved to paint and create, she loved bling..always rockin' beautiful diamonds and gold, beautiful nails, and perfect hair, she was beautiful.  She loved her family...very much.  And we loved her.

Life was never perfect and life was NEVER easy for her.  She was the strongest woman..she fought for everything she had her whole life.  She was dealt a very difficult hand all the way through.

When I first met her, she and I battled. And Sandy is not someone to do battle with! She was not keen on anyone taking her son away, especially not a hippie chick like me.  But I won her over! Then she tried to bling me up with diamonds and gold, to make me a bit more presentable... it didn't work too well.  But she tired!  We had lots of fun together selling on ebay and collecting on ebay. Lots of fun. I'll always remember the 1901 perfume bottle with original box we found in the basement...It was like we had won the lottery! So fun.

She had a huge personality, she was generous to a fault, she was my second mom and she was my friend...and I'm going to miss her.

Sandy, you matter. you are loved. you made a difference. I'm sorry I didn't tell you that enough while you were with us.  I'm really sorry.

I had a dream the night after Sandy passed.  In the dream, she said things didn't go as she had planned. It wasn't supposed to be this way.  She was beautiful and peaceful and full of love for her family and then she faded away without saying anything more.
