A native of Columbus, Mrs. Profit was the daughter of Mrs. Doris Edward Atkinson and the late Benjamin Ashford.

A product of Muscogee County Schools, Mrs. Profit was a 1967 graduate of George Washington Carver High School and received her Bachelors Degree from Columbus State University. A Banker, she retired from Total Systems after 28 years of service. Prior to her banking career, Mrs. Profit was a Classroom Educator, teaching at J.D. Davis and Wynnton Elementary Schools for several years. She was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church and attended
Greater Peace Baptist Church. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and 100 Women On The Move. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Seabron Profit, Jr., and a granddaughter, Joya Moore.

Other than her mother, she is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Mia G. Moore(Lorenzo); three grandchildren, Jevori, Javien and Jazmyne Moore; three brothers, William Atkinson(Jackie), Darold Atkinson and Nolan Barrrett; four sisters, Detra Harvey, Constance Barrett, Tommasina Hughley(Reginald) and Samantha Timmons(Michael); and a host nieces, nephews, cousins to include a devoted cousin, Kelly Gates(Chris) and many friends.
