Amazing Person

January 26, 2019

I was lucky to meet Sandy while working in Veterinary Sales. She was very outgoing and welcoming.  Sandy made my sales calls such a joy when calling on the Melbourne area. Our relationship quickly grew and soon I was able to meet the entire Helpling family. One year when the Helpling’s came up to New Smyrna Beach for our annual Christmas Parade Sandy introduced me to LSU Bloddy Mary’s. They were amazing and a key were pickled okra!  Never heard but loved it. With in the next week while visiting the clinic Sandy gave me a jar of Pickled Okra! Work took me away from calling on her and her practice but was blessed to be able to see her over the years at big events. Sandy always had a smile on her face and was such a giver. She will be missed but know willlive on through all the lives she touched.

I will always remember How caring and compassionate Dr Helpling was with all of my animals over the last 18 years. One particular time comes to my mind. We had to bring our dog Zippy in for his final visit before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Dr Helpling was right there with us as we said our final goodbye to our beloved pet. We had him cremated and she went out of her way to get me a mini “urn” that had some ashes of my sweet Zippy in it for me to hang on the rear view mirror of my car so that I would always have a piece of him with me. I will always remember that one small act of kindness that she went out of her way to do for me to ease my pain just a little. I will never ever forget that. Nor will I ever forget her or her sweet smile. Rest easy Dr. Helpling. I’m sure that all of the Carreiro fur babies that you cared for are happy to have you in Heaven.  ❤️❤️❤️❤️
