Lady Lamp

March 5, 2013

Sandy looking at my mother's Lady Lamp.  This was a special lamp and was loved by all with the romantic reason.

My mom & dad were walking home when she abruptly stopped in front of a store that was displaying the Lady Lamp and immediately fell in love with it.  My dad was such a romantic and came up with an entire months salary to buy it for her.  You could have imagined the look on her face when she unwrapped it? This was bought before we were born.

I have this LADY LAMP sitting on my buffet in my dining room.  Fred refurbished her due to years of cigarrett smoke and being broken in shipment.

Fred put it back together again, PICKING UP THE PIECES, and retouching paint where it was missing and you would think it was brand new.

This lamp was made in Paris in 1884 and was one of 24 total that were made and shipped to the US.

Sandy's last picture to me.

On this day, August 26th, 2011, we had to put our Irish Setter, Sophie, down at only 8 yrs old due to finding out that she had a massive tumor in her chest and most likely cancerous.  She couldn't breath and was extremely sick and we had no choice, but to put her to sleep and she crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge while I caressed her in my arms.

Soon after we got home I got this pic from my niece, Staci, on my cell phone.

9 days after this pic of Sandy, she passed away from lung cancer, on Sept 4, 2011 she took her last breath soon after midnight.

It's hard to believe she's gone almost 2 yrs.  Life isn't the same without her!

I love you so much Sandy!

Singing

March 5, 2013

Sad to say, but Sandy has no singing voice and hated me for having one.  She would know all the words to every single song and make me learn them so I could sing with her.  She made me laugh all the time.  Little memories like this made me think of her NOT so good voice-LOL!
