Ademola, Tomisin and Toyosi: My mother Nicole, my son Isaac, my sisters and I, send you our sincere and deepest condolences in the passing of your wife and mother. We send our love and prayers your way. We know that our Heavenly Father is taking care of you and the girls! Never forget that your strength comes from the Lord and that our God is Faithful. He will never leave you and will always be with you.

I have been reminiscing on the friendship I had with our dear Scholastica. I can never forget first meeting Scholastica and Demola at the Civic hospital where Toyosi and Isaac (newborns) were receiving care in the NICU. Their beds were side by side. That is where we met and became friends and have been inseparable ever since.

Scholastica, was not just a friend but a sister to me. I have so many fond memories of our times together. We celebrated our children's birthdays together, laughed together, and even shared your last evening in Ottawa together in our home before your family flew to Fort Mc Murray several years ago. Scholastica, how can I forget our long phone calls together laughing, and praying for one another. My mother still remembers seeing Tomisin at her elementary school where she worked as a nurse. Tomisin, always greeted her with such life and a great big smile! My mother sends her love to Demola and the girls.
Thank you Demola for supporting and loving Scholastica with such powerfully deep love. The Lord bless you.

Scholastica, you will forever be in our hearts. I love you my dear sister...until we meet again!

A WRITTEN TRIBUTE TO SCHOLASTICA

Oh Schola, how I wish the Lord had given me a chance to have spoken to you one more time before he called your spirit up to him. My husband and I were shocked and shaken when we were told by your husband that you had left us.

My family were reminiscing the times when you and Demola lived in Dundee. You meant a lot to me and my children. The kids would always remember the fun times you and Demola had with them, taking them out to the park, spending the weekends in your flat and enjoying your famous jollof rice.

I remember your wedding day (9th September 2006) you looked so beautiful, and the sun was really shining that day. It was really a day to remember. When you guys left Dundee for Canada, the kids were devastated but also very happy for you both.
I was so happy to see the both of you move on in the next chapter of your lives and I was humbly honoured to be made Godmother of your firstborn Tomisin. I was furtherly overjoyed when I was told that you gave birth to your second child Toyosi.

I am so glad that you stayed in touch with us over the years. When my family and I saw you guys in London back in 2016 we were overjoyed, you had not changed at all. You were always so full of personality, full of laughs and joy and would always light up the room wherever you went. It was so great to see you guys come back to Dundee with the kids so we could spend time with you properly and make more memories together.

I really see you and Demola in those children and I am so happy and proud that you lived such a blessed and prosperous life. Oh, Schola as you rest peacefully with the Lord, my family and I just want to thank you for being a part of our lives. May God continue to bless and watch over your beautiful family and grant you sweet sleep my dear. Rest in peace Scholastica.

My dear friend of over 32 years....Schola!!!!

I miss you, I am heartbroken and pained. I was so hoping to hear from you after my messages to you went unread for days. We prayed but God knows best!

Thank you for being a friend in the true sense of the word. Thank you for all the beautiful memories you've left us with, though this is still so fresh and surreal.

I will never forget your exuberant self, from meeting you in the Igbo cultural dance group in elementary school to rocking high school with you... high school was fun with you in the clique! You lived life to the fullest!

No thanks to Covid & lockdowns, 2020 should have been the year of our planned reunion but....

Thank you for your last call to me on my birthday this year, if only I knew that was it, if only I knew!!

May your loved ones, Demola & the precious girls, Lynda, Ella & Lucia be comforted in the knowledge that you are with the Lord, resting and free from all the burdens & pains of this world.

Schola, sleep easy my beloved, you will forever be in my heart!

I am still in disbelief/
I am still asking God why it was your turn to leave./
We are all sad Dumebi/
You touched all of our lives in ways you couldn't see/
Our family (Dikes) will always remember you as "the focal point that brought the wave of change"./
And it makes me proud to know that you held the torch and lit the flame./
Your name will never be forgotten,/
Your dreams will never be in vain./
I am deeply saddened that I didn't get the chance to say goodbye./
Life got in the way and now I wish I came to see you in Dubai/
I want you to know wherever you are, that your words of advice will always be close to my heart./
I can't really explain how I feel now but I thank God that in my life you were a part./
I am grateful that your family came to see us in Coventry in 2016/
You told me how proud you were of me and till today it means the world to me./
You also made an impression on my wife, she says to say goodbye./
We'll leave a candle on for you, in memory of a light that shone so bright./
I will never forget, the powerful prayer you said when my son lay helplessly in hospital bed.
In your words "Silver or Gold I have none but I will say a prayer instead" !
Big Sis, my son will grow to learn of his Big aunt who really cared.

Thank you for being you and I will miss you

Shared By Mama Celia and sis Marcella

We were shocked when we heard that one of our prayer line leaders, Sister Scholastica
had passed.
She had a unique voice that no one could miss. Her prayer points always uplifted us.
Sister Scholastica had finished the work she came to do and she did it well.
Jesus has finished her place in that mansion , so He came and received her to himself.
Family members of our dear beautiful and gorgeous sister Scolastica.
We are with you in this test. You are not alone.
Weep not! She is not dead but sleeps.
May her sweet and gentle soul rest in perfect peace and may light perpetual shine on her.

Schola o…..I’m still so touched for words and I can’t believe that you’ve left us so soon. I’m confident that your departure is not a loss, as you’ve touched lives in so many meaningful ways that’s words aren’t even enough to express.

I’m filled with so many beautiful memories of our friendship, your laughter, your tenacity and zeal for life. Your love for your family and passion for the things of God.

Thanks so much for your friendship and genuine care for my family and others. Even when we don’t speak for a while, you’re quick to check in and our conversation just continues from where we left off.

I’ll miss that so much… and these memories will continue to be a source of comfort for us all and I pray that God will continue to strengthen Demola and the girls and garrison their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Dear Scholastica!!!
It was a pleasure knowing you...I still remember the good times we shared in Benin! You were so exciting, so full of joy, so determined and unrelenting, so much that you could not be discouraged even in the midst of serious challenges.
I can’t imagine why God allowed this transition but we can’t question Him, for “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116:15).
You’ve made your mark, so Rest In Peace till me meet again at eternity!
Demo, may the Holy Spirit comfort and console you and the children for “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Mathew 5:4).
And the Dike and Adeyemi Families, the Lord will wipe away your tears and strengthen you because “weeping may endure for the night,” but it is certain that “joy comes in the morning” (Psalms 30:5b). You ALL will laugh again!!!

I can never forget how we met in school (Uniben) and we were even room mates at a time. Your charismatic nature was highly infectious. You were bold with a magnetic smile, ever ready to give a helping hand and never believed in impossibilities nor affected by cynics and backbiters.
You always made a positive impact on people because you had a beautiful soul which radiated to all. You were indeed a blessing to this earth.

I've known sis Schola since the 90s, her sister Emmanuella and I were friends from junior secondary school days as such I was a frequent visitor at their house.

When their mum died she took on the role of a mother and was fiercely protective of her siblings. They all shared an undeniably strong bond.

She was always so full of life, she would crack us up with stories of Uniben etc, there was always a lot of laughter whenever she was around.

My heart grieves that I would never hear Schola's distinct voice on PUSH prayer calls where she was a prayer leader.

Her death was truly a bitter pill to swallow. But I know that she is in a better place now.

May the Lord comfort her husband, two beautiful daughters and sisters.
