GARCIA, Sebastian
June 18, 1949 - March 23, 2014
Age 64, died at home in Sacramento, CA with his beloved dog,
Harley. Set to be cremated. Memorial services to be announced at a
later date by the family. Third child born to immigrants Natividad and
Carmen Garcia in San Dimas, CA. Raised in the Central Valley and
graduated from Redwood High in 1969. Joined the U.S. Marines and
was Honorably Discharded after two years of active duty, four years
reserved. He moved to Northern CA where he attended Sierra
College and met his wife of 38 years, Kathy. Joined the Laborers
Union Local 185 and worked for Teichert Construction for 27 years
until a near fatal motorcycle accident in 2001. He enjoyed running at
McKinley park in his spare time. Active member of the Buffalo Chips
and the Hash Harriers. He also loved riding his Harley with the
Marines MC and did the toy run each December with his friends. He
enjoyed and appreciated nature in all its beauty.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters Angelica and Lorrain;
granddaughter Marianna; siblings Jesse, Carmen, Rosemary,
Magdaleno, Andrew, Daniel, Moises, Andres and Javier; nieces and
nephews: Janell, Ryan, Orlando, Heather, Ygnacio, Gracielee,
Ashley, Lacey, Jonsebastian, Mag Jr., Andres Jr., James, Rocio,
Santana, Lauren, Ian, Quinn and numerous great nieces and
nephews along with extended family in Mexico.
