Shawn for me was – sweet, funny , kind, loving and a great human. He was very respectful towards me and he would always laugh at my dumb jokes. I loved the way he cared about his mom and niece and nephew. With so much negativity in the world right now. We have lost a genuine caring soul. Rest in peace brother. Will value all our talks and advice from you for life.

Shawn was a great friend to all. He was genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. No matter the problem he was there always to help.

I will always remember Shawn for his great sense of humor and love for NFL football (especially the Denver Broncos). Through his voluntary work with the DE Energizers, he helped make DE a fun place to work. I will miss you my friend.

It’s a sad day to lose someone with so much to offer. Shawn was a good man. A friend. He gave his all…and then some. I have a lot of good memories of Shawn. He definitely helped make the workplace more enjoyable. Joking wise…he took a lot from some of us… but he could dish it out too. He was also someone you could trust. You could talk to him… and he would listen. He cared about his job…but more than that, he cared about people. It was an honor to work with him and to call him a friend. He will truly be missed.

I had the true pleasure of interacting with Shawn each week during our Sprint to Success meetings. Shawn could always be counted on to bring positivity, a helping hand wherever and whenever needed, and was just an all-around pleasant person to be around. Such a kind-hearted soul that I will certainly miss seeing and interacting with each week, but am thankful to have known. May he rest peacefully.

Shawn was one of my favorite people here at DE or in Houston for that matter. He will be missed.
