Our condolonces to Sheeba's family. We'll miss her. She's our sister in Christ. We'll miss seeing her at VA chapel celebrating with us the11AM Mass with Fr. Austin & Fr. Chris. She exemplifies faithfulness, humbleness, kindness, dedication to her family and job. She gave all her talents while she was here on earth. God's welcoming her saying "well done my good and faithful servant". Her reward's Eternal life with Christ. May you rest in peace Sister Sheeba.

Very difficult news to accept, but God knows best. I will always remember Sheeba for her kindness and compassion. She really cared. She was deeply righteous and very loyal. She was always truthful and had integrity. Yes, she was one of my favorite people at the VA. Jesus said, “I am resurrection and the life...” May the good Lord give strength and comfort to the husband, sons and entire family.

Sending Light and Love to the Paranilam family on the loss of Sheeba. We worked together at the Baltimore VA Medical Center, and I always admired her kindness, compassion, and empathy for her patients and for those around her. We found something other than work to chat about whenever we saw each other--namely music--tabla and sitar. When all the nurses wore white on their White Day, she wore the most beautiful eyelet sari--of course, the white uniform of her nursing school in India. The world is a chillier, darker place without her bright light shining forth. Pls accept my deepest condolences.

I got to know Sheeba only during the last 3 years. She was kind, compassionate and had a remarkable positivity and zest for life. She had great work ethic and always strived to do her best for patients. Her family meant the world to her, and she often talked about her loving sons and devoted husband. I cannot imagine how difficult this must for Sheeba's family, who experienced her warmth and love on a daily basis. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Rest in peace, Sheeba. You left a lasting impression on many of us and you will never be forgotten.

Dear Sheeba, whenever I heard your name from our common friend, Alphonsa, your face came to my mind and your face always had a smile. We met a few times and talked on occasions and your positive spirit left good memories for me. So, I can only imagine what your dear ones are experiencing at this time of pain. My prayers for your family and friends. You had a purpose and you did well. Now, it is time for your eternal reward.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her! May the soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace

I am fortunate to know Sheeba Paranilam for so many years. She was an inspiration to so many in our community. Mr. Jose Paranilam considers me as his younger brother and I had special place in his family. I was blessed to hear confession of his parents as well as Sheba’s parents too. I was really blessed to talk to Sheeba, hear her confession and spend some time with her and the family during her final moments on this earth. We lost an inspiring person, but Heaven gained another angel. She is in a place where there is no more pain and struggle. We pray for her soul. Comfort and peace to Jose Chettan, Alex and Robin.

Together we shared a child’s world
We talked… we fought… we disagreed
We shared many hurts & joys
The older we grew, the stronger
The bond between us become
Though the journey of life put a gap between us
I was always so proud to have you as my little sister
Now life has taken us down to separate paths
You went early to Heaven, as you said once
Leaving behind all the loved ones
To rest in eternal peace with the Heavenly Father
Your departure is unbelievable…
I will never accept it…
I am not going to weep or mourn…
You will always live in my memories
Neither the span of miles
Nor years between us
Can ever change the feelings I have for you
I love you my dear little sis and the best friend,
as you wished me to be…

Sheeba – my friend! How can I say good-bye to you? We studied together for four years in College of Nursing (Calicut) and lived together in a hostel room as best friends and sisters! Those wonderful memories will last for ever! I remember you as a cheerful bright young lady full of energy and enthusiasm for life! You were a studious student that everyone looked upon to emulate. When we slept the night before the exam, you stayed awake and prepared for the exam. We were encouraged by watching your study habits. As we went our ways, you continued with that energy and enthusiasm for everything in life. You are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for everything you have done to make this world a beautiful place!

You will be deeply missed, my friend. Condolences to Jose, Alex, Robin, Ammachi and all other family members.

Dr. Sheeba Paranilam - Homage from IANAM
She was a dear daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, nurse
And many more were the hats she wore in life’s journey
A life so loved by many, cherished by manifold, taken away too soon
A compassionate nurse dedicated to her patients
Always a reason for pride and joy to near and dear ones

A soul full of purpose and love, high flying and zealous
Who lived a virtuous and righteous life
A leader so gentle, kind and compassionate,
Who held fast onto her dreams, took wings and flew
And accomplished all she put her heart into, winning many a laurels
A role model, mentor, comrade, teacher
A fighter so strong and resilient, a true warrior in life and death
Who showed fortitude in the face of darkest moments

If only we knew that that you would be gone too
If only we knew that was the last time we would see you smile,
If only we knew that was the last time we hugged you,
If only we knew that was the last time we would hear your voice
If only we knew that was the last time we took a picture together….
We would have done anything to get many more of those moments

Our hearts are broken, heavy, crushed and sore
Shattered, grief stricken and laden with sorrow
As the painful reality is sinking in
you left a void too large to fill, as you took a part of us with you
You were gone too soon, never did you let us say goodbye
Little did we know that God was going to call your name
And carry you to heaven so soon to start a life anew on that blissful shore
Devoid of pain and sorrow, with angels dancing around you
You gave us memories to cherish and your love will guide us through
You will be with us in spirit, until we meet again…….
