Dr. MJ was a generous scholar, a nurturing educator and an amazing role model. She saw my potential and strongly advised that I should pursue a doctoral degree. Thank you Dr. MJ for believing in me, calling me Dr. Johnson (you said it was just a matter a time until everyone would call me Dr. J). Thank you for going beyond the text books and journal articles but challenging us and teaching us to trust our intuitive knowledge. Thank you Dr. MJ for being an inspiration. I miss you.

I have pictures of you all over the place... your beautiful smile reminding me how very much l love and miss you! Memories of our incredibly wondrous childhood fun together and our amazing adult experiences of sharing, supporting and giving are with me every day! I am grateful beyond words that you were my sister, and I miss you more than I can say!

In Memory of Sheila's anniversary....We think of you all the time, remember the gifts of love you left us, & hope you know how much you are loved. (2014)

Those we Love remain with us,
for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade,
because a loved one is gone.
Those we Love can never be,
more than a thought apart.
For as long as there is a memory,
they’ll live on in our heart.

Excerpt from Farewell Poem...
Sail on Sweet Sister, Sail on…
But stay with us, stay with us always
In all the sweet remembrances you leave behind
And most of all… most of all…
Within the depths of our loving hearts!

Our burial at sea: The sky was dark, as the ashes were dispersed, then a few rain drops fell; right after that, the sun shone through the darkened sky. It was Sheila shedding a few tears, then smiling down in love and joy!

Sheila was Grandma to my daughter's children Alex & Julianna. She was so helpful to Robin. Although she lived far away, that didn't stop her. When Sheila visited it was presents, fun, driving to, picking up, activity, 1 to 1 love & affection. So Grandma Sheila, even though your light went out too soon, we will keep your memory alive for our grandchildren. :)

Whenever I think of Sheila I smile. There are simply not enough words to describe her spirit or the way she made you feel when you were around her. She will always live in my heart as the most fearless women I have ever known. And I will always remember her wonderful sense of humor and her genuine and heartfelt laughter.

I remember Sheila for her brilliant mind and her dazzling smile. She was a born teacher and a true scholar.
