My daughter Johnette was the recipient of one of the Seminole Junior Woman’s Club’s “Outstanding Student” 5th Grade Awards, and Shellie was the one who presented it to her at Seminole Elementary in June 2012. My husband Don & I were so delighted when Johnette got the award, that we asked Shellie to tell us more about the club. I am happy to say that Shellie inspired me to attend a SJWC meeting, and I became a member shortly after that. We are glad to have known Shellie. Her legacy of caring and helping others will not be forgotten.

It was my pleasure to work with Shellie at school. She was a dedicated educator and affected the lives of many children and faculty in a positive way. Her smile will forever shine on in the futures of her many students. God bless you Shellie. You gave them your all.

We are saddened to read of Shellie's passing. She gave such joy through her life--it is evident in her beautiful smile. We hope you are finding comfort through each other and the memories.
