Ecclesiastes 7:1 "A good name [is] better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth."

Where a man has so lived to earn a good reputation, the day of his death can be a time of honor.

It appears that Solomon is giving some words of wisdom on the value of different things in life. A good name is, probably, the most valuable thing a person can have (in the physical). The only things that are more important are our relationship with God and our families.

It is a blessing to children, when they are left an honorable name by their father and mother. They are one step ahead of creating a good name for themselves. At least, everyone expects them to be of good character, when their parents have a good character. It is very nice to smell good, but more important is a person's character.

The day of death is better than the day of one's birth, because there are a lot of problems and heartaches in this world. When we die (if we are saved), those troubles and heartaches are over.

Revelation 14:13 "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them

Every year on Memorial Day, tens of thousands of people gather on Oʻahu’s south shore along with thousands more who join this event via live streaming and telecast to honor loved ones and generate hope toward the future.

Lantern Floating Hawaii allows people a personal moment to remember, reflect and offer gratitude to those who came before us. It is also a collective experience where families, friends and even strangers reach out with love and understanding to support one-another. We become stronger as a community when we are able to recognize our shared values. Lantern Floating Hawaii helps to open our hearts in an experience that transcends the human boundaries that usually divide us.

To our dearly departed Tutu Kapoi and her children, our beloved Ma, Dad Harry, Dad Roland, Sister Sheryl Ann Ululani, Brother in law Art Takabayashi, Sister Linda Jo Maile, we your living 'Ohana pay tribute today and offer our unending gratitude for all the love, support and guidance shown to us through your lifetimes. My Dear Sheryl Time goes so quickly, four years since you physically left us. Every time I visit Maui, Harri, Kamalani and all the Ohana I always want to spend time at your grave just to sit, pray and think of all the wonderful times we spent together, it makes me feel good. We all miss you and Art so much and you would be so proud of your grandchildren. My Dear Sheryl. As the Christmas season approaches and everybody is so busy getting their homes decorated and out buying gifts for their loved ones. I know this was one of your favorite times of the year. You always were so thoughtful to remember everybody to get them a little gift and how much you loved to get your home all decorated to have the whole family up for Christmas. You and Art would enjoy to have the whole Ohana together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Chris the child

That time is today, tomorrow and every moment of your life.  Three years--- There has been joy with new keiki and sadness with Gabriel's passing. Ma folks took good care of family and we are doing our best to take care of our families. We love and miss you all.

AH, Maui is becoming a shopper's paradise. We don't have to leave the island to shop in the brand name stores. In your retirement, you would be calling us and asking, What do you need? I'm going shopping. What a blessing for some of us who don't like to shop.Let's not forget to mention all the new foodie places too. You would have walked off the calories in the shopping centers.

Today we celebrate you Wheezy! You will always be in my heart. There is no night without a dawning, no winter without a spring,and beyond death's dark horizon our hearts once more will sing. 26Feb, well we celebrated Ma's birthday Friday, then her greatgrandson Gabriel celebrated his new life with all of you. Then Saturday,was Maohinui's 1st birthday celebration. Asking God to renew our Spirit and Strength in our ohana. Watch over Gabriel, know Ma's holding his hand and Daddy's very happy too. Love you, sista Mavis

Christmas is the perfect time to share feelings of joy and good cheer. And of course, the more good feelings we share, the more we have left over for ourselves. The Christian life is a cause for celebration. Christ promises us a life of abundance, wholeness, and joy, but He does not force His joy upon us. We must claim His promises for ourselves, and when we do, Jesus in turn fills our spirits with His power and His love. Then, as God's children, we can share Christ's joy and His message with a world that needs both. Merry Christmas Sheryl and 'ohana !!  love Aunty Gail

Christmas can be a difficult time when precious loved ones have gone to be with The Lord, but through our pain & sorrow we always have that glorious deep down assurance through faith that they have reached heaven safely & our now safely in the presence of our wonderful Saviour forever more. Hold strongly onto this truth, believe it, especially after facing many Christmas Seasons without family members who are now at home with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tears are fine, Jesus understands & graciously He will comfort us continually with His everlasting peace.

Today Dec 1 is the first day of advent. The holiday season is upon us.
This was one of your favorite times of the year. You loved to go to all the holiday fairs gathering up gifts for all your Ohara, thinking of your holiday parties. This brought you so much joy to be giving which was your nature. You always were so thoughtful.
