Ecclesiastes 7:1 "A good name [is] better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth."

Where a man has so lived to earn a good reputation, the day of his death can be a time of honor.

It appears that Solomon is giving some words of wisdom on the value of different things in life. A good name is, probably, the most valuable thing a person can have (in the physical). The only things that are more important are our relationship with God and our families.

It is a blessing to children, when they are left an honorable name by their father and mother. They are one step ahead of creating a good name for themselves. At least, everyone expects them to be of good character, when their parents have a good character. It is very nice to smell good, but more important is a person's character.

The day of death is better than the day of one's birth, because there are a lot of problems and heartaches in this world. When we die (if we are saved), those troubles and heartaches are over.

Revelation 14:13 "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them

Every year on Memorial Day, tens of thousands of people gather on Oʻahu’s south shore along with thousands more who join this event via live streaming and telecast to honor loved ones and generate hope toward the future.

Lantern Floating Hawaii allows people a personal moment to remember, reflect and offer gratitude to those who came before us. It is also a collective experience where families, friends and even strangers reach out with love and understanding to support one-another. We become stronger as a community when we are able to recognize our shared values. Lantern Floating Hawaii helps to open our hearts in an experience that transcends the human boundaries that usually divide us.

Where I have gone I am not so small.     My soul is as wide as the world is tall.     I have gone to answer the call, the call     Of the One who takes care of us all.     Wherever you look, you will find me there-     In the heart of a rose,     In the heart of a prayer.     On butterflies' wings, on wings of my own,     To you, I'm gone,     But I'm never alone-     I am home

Mothers Day May 10 2015. Mother's Day is remembrance day,
and we pause on the path of the year,
To pay honor and tribute
to the mother our heart holds dear.
For whether here or in heaven,
her love is our haven and guide,
For always the memory of mother
is a beacon light shining inside.
Time cannot destroy her memory
   and years can never erase
The tenderness and the beauty
of the love in a mother's face.
And when we think of our mother,
we draw nearer to God above,
For only God in His greatness
   could fashion a mother's love.

Happy Birthday Dear Sheryl! I hope you are dancing with the Angels in celebration. We are all remembering your special day. Birthdays are a gift from God. Where does time go in it's endless flight? Spring turns to fall and day to night, and birthdays come and birthdays go, and where they go we do not know.. But God, who planned our life on earth and gave our minds and bodies birth, and then enclosed a living soul with heaven as the spirit's goal, has given man the gift of choice to follow that small inner voice that speaks to us from year to year, reminding us we've naught to fear.. For birthdays are a stepping stone to endless joys as yet unknown. So fill each day with happy things, and may your burdens all take wing and fly and leave behind Great joy of heart and peace of mind.. For birthdays are the gateway to an endless life of joy for you if you but pray from day to day that He will show you the truth and the way.by Helen Steiner Rice
Happy Birthday Wheeze. We miss and love you so very much.

My Dear Sheryl. As the Christmas season approaches and everybody is so busy getting their homes decorated and out buying gifts for their loved ones. I know this was one of your favorite times of the year. You always were so thoughtful to remember everybody to get them a little gift and how much you loved to get your home all decorated to have the whole family up for Christmas. You and Art would enjoy to have the whole Ohana together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Chris the child
Art was busy in the kitchen making his favorite Ono delicious foods.
Art was a great cook. The two of you were so gracious and made everyone feel so welcome. We miss you both so much. All the Ohana
Are doing well and the grandchildren are getting so big and doing well in school. You both would be so proud of each and everyone of them.
We all wish you a Happy Christmas in Heaven with our Father God and Son. Love, Aunty Gail,Ben and Sadie

AH, Maui is becoming a shopper's paradise. We don't have to leave the island to shop in the brand name stores. In your retirement, you would be calling us and asking, What do you need? I'm going shopping. What a blessing for some of us who don't like to shop.Let's not forget to mention all the new foodie places too. You would have walked off the calories in the shopping centers.

Today we celebrate you Wheezy! You will always be in my heart. There is no night without a dawning, no winter without a spring, and beyond death's dark horizon our hearts once more will sing. For all our loved ones who have left us for a while, have only gone away out of a restless, careworn world into a brighter day. Where there will be no partings, and time is not counted by years, where there are no trials or troubles,no worries, no cares and no tears. We know a baby angel Gabriel just arrived at God's heavenly house, he will be well taken care of. All the Ohana hold him in their arms and is loved by all. May God Bless and watch over you all. I miss and love you Sheryl

Christmas is the perfect time to share feelings of joy and good cheer. And of course, the more good feelings we share, the more we have left over for ourselves. The Christian life is a cause for celebration. Christ promises us a life of abundance, wholeness, and joy, but He does not force His joy upon us. We must claim His promises for ourselves, and when we do, Jesus in turn fills our spirits with His power and His love. Then, as God's children, we can share Christ's joy and His message with a world that needs both. Merry Christmas Sheryl and 'ohana !!  love Aunty Gail

Christmas can be a difficult time when precious loved ones have gone to be with The Lord, but through our pain & sorrow we always have that glorious deep down assurance through faith that they have reached heaven safely & our now safely in the presence of our wonderful Saviour forever more. Hold strongly onto this truth, believe it, especially after facing many Christmas Seasons without family members who are now at home with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tears are fine, Jesus understands & graciously He will comfort us continually with His everlasting peace.

Our Father knows what's best for us, so why should we complain,we always want the sunshine, but He knows there must be rain. We love the sound of laughter and the merriment of cheer, but our hearts would lose their tenderness if we never shed a tear, so whenever we are troubled and life has lost its song,it's God testing us with burdens just to make our spirits strong!  Amen. GC
