Dearest Sifa, we are all richer for having had you on this earth. You were an inspiration to all; gentle but strong, full-of-life and yet fully dedicated to helping the most vulnerable. My heart goes out to your dear children, husband and the many of us whose lives you touched.

Sifa, You will be missed so much!! You were here for a very short while but you definitely left a mark!!!. It was a pleasure knowing you. I'm grateful for the last time I saw you when you visited us in Belmont. May your sweet soul rest in eternal peace.

A loss for humanity, period. We will remember Sifa as a beautiful wife and a mother of unsurpassed love, but also as a strong, smart and pragmatic woman dedicated to peace and social justice through effective activism. Her legacy of building a world without genocide will live on.

Dear Aunty Sifa, I did not know you well but I will always remember you as the most friendliest person I knew. Your smile used to make peoples souls feel so warm. As I once said to Daniel at school:"Your Mom has the nicest smile, just perfect for a colgate add." Dear Sifa, it was a shock to hear that you left us! Sometimes I'm angry at God for letting this happen! But, I’m pretty sure you are at His side now and showing your wonderful smile. My family will never forget the time we spent together at your house, at my house, at the beach... and whenever your Odette and my Chelsea wanted to get together. We will always miss you!

The song states: "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" ... however, in the case of Sifa, we all knew what we had when she was with us. Charm, grace, energy, positivity, optimism, caring ... just some of her characteristics that made us all grateful for her presence in our lives. The world will be dimmer without our dear and much missed Sifa.

Sifa, You were a light and a beacon of hope for so many of us at JCRC and throughout the Save Darfur movement. Your indomitable spirit, passion and grace were such an inspiration for so many of us. Thank you for the love and joy you brought to this world. May your memory be for a blessing for all time. My heartfelt condolences go to your whole family. We must all carry on the work...

Too Young, too soon, My heart aches for your loss. Sifa..., you were a home for homeless, hope for desperates, in sorrowful times you were a shoulder to cry on! I remember you, when you started to look for a land in Rwamagana, when you inaugurated and housed those orphans! Sifa Nsengimana was the most beautiful person ever,both inside and out. She always made people happy around her. It is a big loss for all those who did not get chance to experience her presence. As for the others, they will uncompromisingly miss her.I will hold all the memories deep in my heart.Through these memories will never part.

Words cannot convey what a wonderful person you were and how much we will all miss your smile, your humor, and most of all your generous spirit. You were taken from us too soon -- much too soon. But we know that as long we hold on to your memory , you will forever be in our hearts.
