On March 28, 1941 the sun rose on the birth of Sarah Smith.  She was born in Warm Springs, Georgia.  Her birth parents were the late Charlie Smith and Christine Brooks.  

Sarah had a dear friend that preceded her in death, Johnny (Mapp) Hixson, whom helped her raise her five children; four boys and one girl.

She joined True Mt. Temple Church at an early age.   On Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Columbus Georgia Hospice Center, she was called home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Cynthia Febry (George) of Warm Springs, GA; four sons, Jeffery Smith (Birgetta) of Shiloh, GA, Undra Smith (Shonna) of Greenville, GA, Sammy Smith (Leonora) of Atlanta, GA, and Tommy Walton (Deborah) of Warm Springs, GA; three sisters, Josephine Smith of Newnan, GA, Mary Virginia Henton of Brightham, AL, Teresa McCurn of Bessmere, AL;  She has twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren; she leaves four dear friends, Gwen William, Craig Martin, Willie George and Juanita Reeves; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
