The house that Stella Mae and her Husband Walter lived in was very old, just four rooms and I have heard stories told by my older brother and sisters about being able to push on the walls and them almost falling through, so after the passing of her husband Walter, Stella Mae and her children started building themselves a new home across the creek from where the old home stood, they started with one room at a time and as the years passed by the home grew into a Hugh 6 bedroom home. It was located in Monarch Kentucky west of Middlesboro Kentucky. She grew a Hugh garden to help feed her children, she raised chickens, turkeys and hogs, she also had a cow that she milked and churned her own butter, there was no electric heat in the home so it was heated with coal and no indoor pluming so there was a toilet outside, her and my brother finally ran a water line from a old mines inside the house into a sink so we could have running water but it ran all the time into the sink we couldn't turn it off. .Before that we had to carry our water from a creek in two water pails, Stella Mae had to bath her children in a wash tub that doubled As a wash tub for the laundry, she used a ringer washer and hung the clothes to dry on clothes lines that were scotched up with two by fours with nails drove into them to hold the line. She purchased Paneling from we calked him the Paneling Man to coverbthevwalls wit although there was never enough to do a complete room her my sister and brother pieced it together and made it look beautiful. Stella Mae cooked with a coal stove, but she made the best gravy and homemade biscuits and chicken and dumplings ever. Stella bought pie filling from the Raleigh Man or that's what we called him to make the best pies but she could also make the best Apple Stack Cakes and the best Sweet Bread , Stella lived here until 9 of her children were married, then she moved downtown Middlesboro Kentucky but she was never content, I suppose she had to many memories in the old home place and nothing could ever take the place of our home.

Grover Clevlon Nash and Doshey Nash were the parents of Stella Mae Nash Daniel she had one Brother Charlie Nash, and 7 sisters Dorthey Nash Smith, Roxie Louise Nash Hill, Geneva Nash Gibson, Mary Helen Nash Partin, Minnie Nash Partin, Della Jean Nash Evans and Connie Nash Smith. She had a brother that she called baby Grover that died when he was still an infant. She was Married to Walter Daniel who passed away at the age of 42 in 1967, they had ten children 5 boys and 5 girls, Walter Leon Daniels, Cora Mae Daniels Turner, Carolyn Sue Daniels Lamb, Sterling Delane Daniels, Terry Wayne Daniels, Larry Dean Daniels, Gary Lynn Daniels, Omega Kay Daniels Lamb, Patricia Ann Daniels Bishop. And Judy Marie Daniels Adkins, she lost one son Terry Wayne Daniels to Cancer September 2013. At her death she had lots of grandchildren, Chad and Anthoney Daniels their father is Walter Leon Daniels and Kay Hood Daniels mother , Floyd, Ruth, Jackie and Kristina Turner, their mother is Cora Mae Daniels Turner and Alves Jack Turner father, Darla Lamb, her mother is Carolyn Sue Daniels Lamb and William Howard Lamb father, Sterling and Jennifer Daniels their father is Sterling Delane Daniels and Jeannette Mason Daniels mother, Lora and Terri Daniels their father is Terry Wayne Daniels, and Rossetta Vanover Daniels mother, Theresa Daniels her father is Larry Dean Daniels, and Sara Dillianham Daniels mother, Gary, Jessica and Clarence Daniels their father is Gary Lynn Daniels, and Marie Walker Daniels mother, Charles Daniel, Jason, Cassandra and April Lamb their mother is Omega Kay Daniels Lamb and Charles Lamb father, Casey, LeighAnn and Brittany Bishop their mother is Patricia Ann Daniels Bishop Robert Taylor Bishop II and Duane, Stephen, and Mace Adkins their mother is Judy Marie Daniels Adkins and Eddie Adkins father. And as of January 2014- 34 great grandchildren as far as I can get a count. Stella was a life long member of Monarch Church Of God, and she suffered a massive stroke December 2010 before her passing in June 2012 at Middlesboro ARH Hospital in Middlesaboro KY, she was laid to rest beside her husband Walter Daniels in the Daniels Cemetary on Fordge Risge Road in Harrogate Tennessee. Stella married and divorced Charlie McVey whom was from Middlesboro Ky he is also laid to rest in the Daniels Cemetary. Stella heald a Nursing Degree which she used for many years after the passing of her husband Walter.
