Miss you Steve

Wish you were still around Steve. I think about you all the time.

My Brother

March 4, 2016

I need to begin by saying Stephen was the strongest guy I know/knew.  And I also must add-one of the HARDEST workers!!!

Charming and sweet, when I was a teenager, all my friends were in love with him- I wasn't sure if they liked me or just using me to get closer to my handsome brother!!!! Life wasn't kind to him from the beginning, he had much more energy than most children his age that always  got him into trouble. But he was also very kind and loving. I remember one day when he was about 7 years old, he was walking home from the little store up the street -Pattersons- and he found this little boy around 4 years old playing in the parking lot at St Jude's Church. Well, Stephen must have thought he was lost or something and brought him home and asked my mom if we could keep him! Of course my mother said "no, bring him back to where you found him"!!!' As he got older, and more charming and handsome, I once heard a woman say "Stephen could charm the pants off a nun"!!' I will never forget these things, and MANY,MANY more!!!  His life was hard, always striving to be accepted, well I just have to say that I loved my brother (and still do) with all my heart, I will never forget how hard his life was, and how hard he worked, I am so thankful to Stephanie and Jessie for all they did for him towards the end of his life. And I will miss him dearly. As much as I miss him and sad as I am that he is gone, Im glad that his struggles are finally over, never to suffer or been in any pain of any kind ever again. ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG!!!!! I heard the thunderstorm the night he entered heaven, im sure that was all his loved ones up there welcoming him, applauding to have him with them again!   I love you my brother, you are missed by everyone who knew you, by all the lives you touched

My Father-in-Law

February 25, 2016

Steve was the handiest guy I knew. He could fix anything that needed fixing and was so smart and creative, there was nothing he couldn't do. In the 20+ years knowing him he never missed buying me a Xmas gift and telling me how he cared about me. He always made me feel like a part of the family and we often went camping and sailing and just hanging around his house with Joan & Kristen. I am greatful to have spent the last few months of his life with him...it wasn't easy seeing him like that but I wouldn't trade it for anything. In fact I would do anything to have 1 more week with him. I love you Steve. I am so lucky to have been with Stephanie all these years and been a part of his life too. We will keep your memory alive through your grandkids and through the many positive changes you helped us make in our home.  Safe travels Steve. Love you always.
