"Papa Steve"
It was such an honor knowing you. We loved your great sense of humor and your carefree attitude. You had the best sense of humor and such a contagious laugh. I loved listening to you and Shawn pick on one another.Even though you were Shawns uncle You had a Father / son bond that was strong . I remember when you first got your scooter and just had to take it to walmart and the battery went dead before you got home. You loved having the mobility to do things for yourself. I want to Thank you. Had it not been for you Shawn and I never would have met. Shawn and I giggled every time we heard you call me his girl friend a year, two, almost three years after we got married. We will miss your voice mail messages asking us to bring you a burrito or a quesadilla, then saying "This is Steve.". Rest in peace with the knowledge that We love you We will cherish the memories and we will miss you more with each passing day.
God saw that he was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
and whispered, "Come with Me."
With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes "The Best".
