Hi, Dad. We lost Mom's Brother Walter Gray aka Uncle Junior this year and my best friend Lee Meadows passed as well. Now you, Mom, and Ronnie have more to love in heaven. Love Donnie.
Happy Birthday, Uncle Steve....know you, Lucy, Ron, Mary and Ed are having a real party up there to celebrate your birthday! Miss you and Lucy so much! Much love
Happy Birthday, Dad. I don't know where heaven is, but I like to think you, Mom, and Ronnie are on a boat at a Hawaiian Luau. All my love to the three of you forever and ever, Donnie
Steve was a caring and kind neighbor. I think of him and Lucy since I live next door to the home they shared. I continue offering peace and love to those who knew them both and will continue to be there for their children. Peace and love Lucy and Steve.
Happy Birthday Uncle Steve....think of you often, especially now on your birthday....know you didn't like us fussing over you for your birthday, but sure wish we could celebrate with you...i know your looking down on us and smiling while sharing a toast with Mother! love you and miss lots!
Happy Birthday Steve. Another year has passed and you would have aged one more year. You are still in our thoughts and memories even though you are not physically here. I would like to wish you another "happy birthday" and hope you are still looking over all of us, but mainly your family. We still think of you fondly and enjoy listening to stories of things that happened in your life.
Another year has passed and you are still thought of and missed. Your friends and family speak fondly of the many memories of your past and your family is still supported by your neighbors because we love your family and will always keep them in our prayers and thoughts. We love Lucy and Donnie and Barb and will keep them close now and forever. Peace and love to you and your family.
Steve, Aunt Pete and I with your nieces Jamie and Tina spread your ashes in the Kentucky River last week. We did it from an old swinging bridge outside Hazard. Donnie added the photos. I love and miss you. Lucy
Dad, I retired last month on January 22, 2013--just like you did. Mom and I plan to travel around the USA this summer; right after we pour your ashes into the Kentucky River--just like you asked us to. Miss you, from your other boy, Donnie.
Happy 90th Birthday, Steve. No cake for you this year, I am sorry to say. I fell and broke my wrist on the way to the store. I often hear your voice calling my name. I love and miss you, sweetheart.
Happy Birthday, Steve, your neighbors still miss you and continue to support your wonderful wife, Lucy. We will always be there for your family and hope your spirit is at peace. Lucy, Donnie and Barb are close to my heart always and I keep them in my prayers always. I continue to love on Miss Molly as well, because she loved you so.
Steve was a blessed man to have a wonderful wife who loved & took excellent care of him to the end. He had 3 wonderful children who dearly loved him & I felt he was very kind & caring neighbor. All we can ask of ourselves is did we treat others as we would like to be treated & to love and care for our families. Steve was one of those people. Peace & love to his family, we're here 4 U.
I always felt a special connection to Uncle Steve like a felt a special connection to his sister Marry my grandmother. They both made me feel happy, loved, connected to my heritage, and welcomed, and a special part of their life too. I will always cherish and carry on the memories of laughter and love. I love you Uncle Steve and all the family.
Uncle Steve was 1 of a kind and will be missed dearly. He was so close to my grandmother, Mary Telfair, and was always there for her, no matter what she needed. I'll never forget summers spent on the farm and the endless laughter those two generated as they ribbed each other back and forth. Uncle Steve, you are a legend and you will not be forgotten. Condolences to Lucy & the family. xoxo
My dear Uncle Steve...how I will miss you! You were the constant in our lives...Whatever we needed you were there for us...I especially have wonderful memories of our little chats in Mothers garage, rocking away on her glider, laughing and reflecting on our lives, listening to you and Mother bantering back and forth like an old Vaudiville act....these are memories I will cherish forever.
