What a wonderful, one-of-a-kind man. Mr. Florkewicz and his family were our neighbors for more than 20 years; more importantly, they became our dear friends.
I’ll always remember his gentle manner, his easy smile, his kindness.
He was, perhaps, the original MacGyver: he could find a solution to anything, fix, create, problem solve.
He worked happily on his yard, his pool, in his garage, and every year at Christmas strung lights perfectly on the tallest tree in the neighborhood, which sat on the Florkewiczes’ front lawn.
How he loved his family and his pets.
It is a privilege to have known him. He will be missed, and always remembered with love.

Steve was a wonderful man who would stop by the church office (Christ Church) frequently during the week, but always on a Monday to get the new wording for the church sign out front. That was his job ... to change the weekly wording, and he took that very seriously. And Dixie would always be with him and she knew just where I kept the dog treats! May he rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.

Stephen and Carol graced us with their happy presence at Heartfields and I adored them as did all of our staff and residents.  They were just the cutest couple here, always sweetly chatting with people and making friends.  Stephen always had a kind word for everyone, a smile, a laugh and truly looked at the positives in life. He was an amazingly loving husband - taking such good care of Carol each day and by her side every minute.  He is fondly remembered here.

You lived your life with dignity, high standards, and impeccable morals. Your commitment and devotion should be an inspiration for all. You will be greatly missed.
