I am so sorry and send Mitzi’s family all my sympathies. I know Mitzi from our Emeritus. Classes, especially Yoga. We spoke frequently before and after class. Of course, since the pandemic, the classes were virtual and still are. I will miss her and her perpetual smile. She was a lovely woman. Sharon

Mitzi was discreet, but she stood out of the crowd by her very distinctive allure. I met her at yoga ( Emeritus) where she was the best student. She was talking about one of her daughters living in Vermont, and doing great actions for the planet…. I ended up buying a T-shirt from her.
I am very touched and saddened by her passing. Please receive my sincere condolences. I was always looking up to her. She will be missed.

I met Mitzi in yoga probably close to 20 years ago. She was the most limber person in the class and that did not change in all of the years we practiced. Our little group of 5 yogis lined up on the South wall at Emeritus College twice a week. Eventuality we found we had something else in common…wine. We would celebrate several times a semester by walking over to a nearby restaurant and each having a glass of red wine and a piece of bread. It was almost sacramental. And then came COVID. After the worst was over, we regrouped but try as we might, we could not reach Mitzi. We thought that she had probably gone East to be with her family. We had no idea she was ill and were shocked to hear she had died. I’m so sorry I never got to say goodbye and how much I admired and loved her.

We remember Aunt Mitzi as full of life, fun loving, and always wearing a great smile. She touched many lives through the years and will be truly missed.

I worked with Mitzi at the Santa Monica Library's Friends' Bookstore. I was always struck by how calm she was. She also loved to recommend books. I took her up on "Cleopatra." and that title did not disappoint. I know she left our shift early for her yoga class. When her daughter as in town, she brought her in to meet us. Mitzi was and is a gracious and caring person. I know she is missed by all who knew her.

Mitzi and I were two of the original Friday morning crew of five at the Library Book Store.  She loved to visit her family over the summer, planning varied routes across the country, but I always cheered when she came back as I liked her company so much and missed her when she was gone. Always a smile, an intelligent comment, a helpful action. I'm glad to have known her and volunteered with her since 2006. Miss you, Mitzi.

I so liked serving with Mitzi in the Friends book store. I interviewed her when the store was opening and immediately saw her as an intelligent, thoughtful, positive person. Her volunteering over these past many years resulted in a strong sense of helping others and a wonderful ability to get along with everyone---and solve problems----no easy task with 60 volunteers.  I so enjoyed just talking to her about life. Kent Lewis
