Sylvia Ada Wachuku: 1947-2021: Concise Biography

Born on Monday 13 October 1947 in in Akwa Akpa; also known as Calabar: SouthEastern Nigeria; to Rachael and Amos Odu royal lineage of Agburuike: Nsulu: Abia State: Nigeria, Leah Adaoha Egobuenyi Sylvia Wachuku was an inspiring and lovely human being. Commendably, she was an excellent teacher, administrator, historian and educationist of world-class dimensions; who studied in Calabar, Nsulu and Jos: Nigeria. 

In late 1960s, she lovingly met her her husband: Madu Wachuku from royal lineage of King Josaiah Ndubuisi Wachuku; and they got married in Nbawsi: Eastern Nigeria during 1970. Subsequently, with Madu Wachuku, Sylvia Wachuku had her three sons, as follows: 10 March 1971: Ugonna Wachuku; 2 March 1972: Uchenna Wachuku; 22 October 1973: Ikenna Wachuku. And relevantly, with wisdom, focus, patience and love, Sylvia Wachuku persevered through marital trials and challenges to, painstakingly, succeed in life and motherhood, inspiringly. 

From 1975, Sylvia Wachuku started human capital development as a teacher at Township and Central Schools in Umuakagu and Orieagu: Mbano Community Council: East Central State: Nigeria. During 1980s till her retirement in 2010, Sylvia Wachuku, results-orientedly and valuably, served in educational administration and mentoring of students; as Teacher of History and Religious Knowledge at Ngwa High School Abayi Aba and Girls Secondary School: Umungasi Aba; in then Imo State and later Abia State: Nigeria, accordingly. Especially, Sylvia Wachuku positively, caringly and lovingly touched hundreds and thousands of lives; plus millions, in worthy ripple effects, within Nigeria, Africa and globally.  

A persevering, courageous, diligent, resolute, firm, empathic, wise, patient plus compassionate woman of Christlikeness, Sylvia Wachuku’s love and care for her family and fellow human beings was soulfully uplifting, selfless, heavenly, inspirational, memorable and exceptional. Heartbreakingly, from Ischemic Stroke, she died at a hospital in Umuahia: Abia State: Nigeria, during 12 Noon, on Friday 24 September 2021, at the age of 74. 

Notably, Sylvia Wachuku is survived by her husband: Madu Wachuku plus her three sons: Ugonna, Uchenna, Ikenna; three daughters-in-law: Alejandra Wachuku: née: Hernandez Gudiño, Aliji Wachuku: née: Ukukuebe Udeh and Ijeoma Wachuku: née: Anyanwu; plus four grand-children, namely: Ezichi Ugonna Wachuku Hernandez, Chimamada Uchenna Wachuku, Chinonso Ikenna Wachuku and Kenechi Ikenna Wachuku; including her siblings and relatives from Odu and Wachuku families.
