His Life

And then he got sick

August 18, 2016

Terry began to have headaches on and off again in 2010 each year they seem to get more intense but all doctors and specialist couldn't find anything wrong. On July 21, 2015 Trey was struck down in suffering by a deadly monster called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).  It is one of the rarest incurable brain tumors that only strikes children ranging from ages 5-10.  This cancer takes away every motor function until there is nothing left.  Our strong son with angels by his side fought for almost six long months in unbearable pain and circumstances.  On January 15, 2016 God decided that our child had suffered enough, and He took Trey to heaven to live forever in light and reign as a true child of God.

Although, I know he is better than any of us here on earth we miss him severely.  He touched so many lives while he was here.  Terry made our lives the best in every way imaginable and our family complete.  Loosing a child is a lost that has no description because it is so horrible. As we are left to wait until we reunite with our baby trying not to ask "why" but be thankful for every blessing and gaining a gaurdian angel son.

Growing into independence

As the years progressed so did Trey.  He honed his basketball skill under the guidance of his Father as a coach for the church league with his mommy as his biggest fan and cheerleader.  He begin to find his niche and soar in acedemic at school as well as friendships.  He looked forward to the future with his family and all things fun.  He walked in pride as he learned and took part in the legacy of his great grandfather Wendell Scott.  Trey was an inspiration in our neighborhood.  He was always outside playing with kids of all ages.  He loved video games, kids networks, swimming, running, playing with our family pet/body gaurd Velvet, and being silly just like any other little boy. However, when it came to right and wrong, doing the right thing, and his own special relationship with God he was different.

He was a beautiful baby boy

Terry Jerome Davis III (a.k.a) Trey was one of the greatest gifts from God.  We have a boy.  It was like God took our wish list and put him down in our arms.  He was always our attached baby (never wanted to be away from us). Trey came out the womb with basketball skills like his superhero his father Terry Davis jr.  His imagination was vivid and in color like his mommy.  Trey and his big sister London were like peanut butter and jelly, and he found his first true love Kirsten at his christening.   His grandma Debbie has always been his best friend.  He loved to laugh and had the biggest personality.  That boy's laugh could fill-up a room with joy in a matter of seconds.  At first school was always a little boring and tough for him but with the our support, extra help, and his best effort he was determined to get better.
