Her Life

A native of Edwardsville, IL., and the daughter of the late David E. Milons, Sr., and Alma Smith Sherrod, Mrs. Iverson had lived in Columbus for 41 years and retired as a Deputy Sheriff from the Muscogee County Sheriff Department after 22 years of service. A devout member of Macedonia Baptist Church, she served as past president of the General Missions Department and was very active in Sunday School. She was a active member of the Red Hats Society and Les Anges Civic and Social Club. Mrs. Iverson passion were working in her yard and garden.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Elizabeth "Liz" Sherrod and Alvernia Milons.

Surviving are a loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Joe N. Iverson, Sr; two sons, Joe N. Iverson, Jr(Tina) and Kendell D. Iverson; two grandchildren, Joi' N. Iverson and Ethan T. Iverson; three brothers, David Milons(Gladys), Sammy Milons and Freddie Milons; four sisters, Dorothy Webster(Eddie), Shirley Wright, Yvonne Collins and Josephine Jackson(Raymond); loving in-laws, Benjamin Iverson, Willie Iverson, Fred Iverson, Barbara Jackson and Linda Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
