Hi Jane, I recently found a letter from Tom while he was in the navy serving about the USS Muliphen. That was also the first navy ship I served on. We may have been on board at the same time (summer of 1954). I was a lowly enlisted man at the time and would not have mingled with the officers. So I would not have seen Tom. Later I did eventually become a Captain.
Another coincidence: I understand that at the time I was back at Marquette getting my law degree ('59-'62) Tom was at Marquette across campus getting his PHD. I only learned this later.
After Jane/Tom wedding I never saw Tom again until our 50th St. Vincent anniversary. If you would like, I could send you a copy of Tom's letter. (4461 N. Prospect Ave., Shorewood, WI 53211)

Hi Jane, I don't know if you remember this event, but It seems like only yesterday that I got Tom to go a mixer at the Marquette Student Union. I asked you to dance and deliberately ended the dance next to Tom. I reintroduced you to Tom (I knew you had known Tom in High School). From that day forward the two of you became inseparable..
I keep Tom in my prayers every day.

Tom, you will always be missed. You and Jane are in my prayers everyday.
I always enjoyed being your classmate in kindergarten, grade school at St. Vincent, High School, and finally as a roommate at Marquette. May God bless your family, Harry
