Thomas Jackson was born to the late Samuel and Ruth Jackson. A loving, caring and proud man. He had a very strong love for family and a great sense of humor. He had a special bond with his siblings also. He attended and graduated from the public schools in Richmond Virginia at Armstrong High in 1958. Shortly afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Army and was a paratrooper and when that ended he return home and became a firefighter for 15 years with the City of Richmond, Va. I didn't have to look far for a role model or hero because he was already there everyday in my life.
