I am remembering the Dad I loved on Father's Day. He made sure we all knew we could accomplish anything. He was fun and loving and a dreamer. He was one of a kind.
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying 'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide. But come ye back when summer's in the meadow Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow 'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.
My Dad was so important in my life, in all our lives. We all miss him still. Today, February 27,2013 would have been his 83rd birthday. My granddaughter is celebrating her 7th, he would have had so much fun with is great grandchildren and I know he is still with us and sharing our dreams and heartaches. He loved us all fiercely and that leaves a lasting imprint in time and in us.
You're the one who held me up Never let me fall You're the one who saw me through, through it all You were my strength when I was weak You were my voice when I couldn't speak You were my eyes when I couldn't see You saw the best there was in me Lifted me up when I couldn't reach You gave me faith 'cause you believed I'm everything I am Because you loved me
