The (1965?) Baracuda!

Tom Beatty was married to my sister Madonna for a number of years during the 70’s and 80’s that produced two delightful children, Suzy and Tommy. So that made me his Brother-in-law.
Before our Brother-in-law hood, Tom and me enjoyed our times hanging out in South Buffalo.
One humid summer night in 1974, I had a beer (or two) with Tom and he told me about a car he and his Brother Kurt were building: a Plymouth Baracuda!
After a time of listening to young 21-year-old Tommy being really excited and bragging about his Baracuda, we parted. He promised to give me a ride in the ‘cuda under the Skyway when it was finished.
The ride in the ‘cuda never happened but we joked about that car for years; that car was part of him.
45 years later, I know my sister still has parts to that car in her basement in West Seneca. I’ve seen ‘em.
Hey Tommy, I hope you are driving that Baracuda up there in heaven!
