WHEN SORROWS LIKE BILLOWS SEA ROLL..WHATEVER MY LOT, THOU HAS TAUGHT ME TO SAY, IT IS WELL
I got to know you when I became part of the family in 1993.I saw in you, a great person, very calm, clever and well-disciplined young lad. I nicknamed you” WUKPAKPA “(THE BEST OF MY HUSBANDS). which fitted your demeanour and that came to stay. I could not call you any other name than that- Indeed you have been the best of my husbands.
You understood education and even started in the house before going for training. I remember one of the days when you were teaching Nii and he was not taking it seriously, you canned him very well and to our surprise he said to you “TEACHER NI YIOR AKWAADU ELE NOKO NOKO, literally A TEACHER THAT EATS A LOT OF BANANAS IS VERY THICK.We found that funny at that time-Nii is broken can’t hold his tears. Unco Tom, Papa, you sent me a lovely message on Mother’s Day 2020, little did I know i would not receive any this year. I spoke with you on the 2nd of February, also did not cross my mind it’s the last communication between us.
Uncle Tom, our visits to Ghana is not going to be the same without you, to and from the airport , to my family house, when I even tell you to drop me at a near stop to find my way to the family house, you will say no, “I will take you straight there because I have to protect my brother’s property.”
Wukpakpa, I can go on and on , so many things to write, I cannot hold my tears broken hearted .
Wukpakpa Roo and the kids will be looked after as you would like.Thank you for everything. I salute you, you have conquered death. Sleep well dear.
God be with you till we meet again.
