21 years ago today I began a journey that I never would have dreamt I would take. The helpless feeling of the knowledge that you were gone and I had not been able to help you, comfort you, or say goodbye. I don't need a special day to remember you or what a pain in the butt you could be because that is with me always. You made me laugh, you made me cry and you left a hole in my heart when you left. You would be so proud of your niece and nephews. They are beautiful souls and I often see in them the mischievous glint you had in your eyes.
