It touched my heart so beautifully because special persons that come into our lives stay with us forever. My mother, Tomasa Colon, born in Utuado, 1913 - Bronx, NY 2010 was also one that found the good and the beautiful in everyone. Gentle, sweet and always giving a gift no matter how small, to anyone that came to her humble home. Beauty, love, strength and commitment comes in so many forms and from where one would least expect it. It's what make life worth living.

Heaven has received another Angel in Titi Tomasita to protect and look after her family and friends, and she will remain in our hearts forever.Titi's spirit always made you feel welcomed and special, she was always happy when she was surrounded by family and friends. I remember her feasts for Thanksgiving and Christmas, how she was able to cook these meals, from appetizers to dessert, for all of us was amazing. EJ and I will always remember her with love!

So sorry for your loss, I never knew your Mom, I know I would have loved Her if She was anything like you, She is in such a better place now, no more pain, and she will now recall everything and everybody, I continue to pray for you and your family.

Tomasa was someone that I remember had such a love for life, her smile and gracious ways were often comforting in many family events. One of the memories that I have of her growing up, was her famous coffee cake and her pasteles that were homemade and that everyone looked forward to having at the holidays. She was a pillar of strength and elegance, she will forever be embedded in my heart and soul. May all of those who have left before her, embrace her in heaven. Love your great niece jessie.

I remember when Nana was cleaning dads bar in the basement for her 50th anniversary.Dad had alot of umm, eccentric items and she put them in the trash. He was so mad at her at the time but now we all laugh about it. I remember when she called Danny's 3rd grade teacher a "beach" lol. I remember her cooking chicken cutlets with sides of rice and beans and beans and rice. But most important she will live on in our hearts and will be remembered as a great mother, grandmother, and titi.

You were a sweet lovely lady who always treated me like family from the start you will always have a special place in my heart love you and RIP!!!!

My beautiful "Nana" is finally at peace and re-united with Papi and her family in Heaven! She was a bold woman... strong of heart, soul and Faith. I always admired her for that. She will forever remain in my heart. I just gained another beautiful guardian angel.

Tomasita was my other mother. I called her Mom. There are just too many memories to list them all here, but here are a few; any time Mini and I had a spat, Tomasa would generally back me up over her own daughter. When I was still single and engaged to Mini, Mom would have me over at her house to eat dinner, so that I would not starve. She looked in my fridge to see a jar of pickles, baked beans and beer.That was it., There was the time she attended small claims court, because she was in a traffic accident , I would drive her to court and we would have dinner in a diner. She told other people that I was her attorney. We had a mock wedding ceremony for her and Roldan in the Floral Park house basement, , and I officiated as the "Rabbi". Mom for all the parties, gatherings, lectures ,dinners and most of all, that you loved me as a "Son' and not just a son inlaw - THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU !
