Absolutely breathtaking… 

This has been an amazing adventure but it got dampened a bit yesterday when Mike was pick pocketed in Barcelona. Bastards got his wallet and passport. So our trip is delayed a day as we had to spend most of the day trying to figure out how to get him a temporary passport to get back to the USA. Once he got it we had to come to Nice, France (where we are now) to get an open flight tomorrow to JFK then home. This has been an incredible vacation but we are all ready to get home to our family.

This week we had to make that decision that every animal lover dreads to send our baby boy on to his next adventure. He was my first puppy, my first baby, and the doggy love of my life thus far. I promised him all of his life that I would never make him suffer for my sake and it was crushing to keep that promise but he deserved the dignity and respect to be pain free and out of misery. Mike and i have peace in knowing we did the right thing but we are going to miss that big guy. It was an absolute pleasure spoiling him rotten. Wherever he is, I hope he is surrounded by lots of balls and infinite love.

To all of my Cincy friends and family, We tried so hard to get there for Christmas. We even drove to Portland to attend a fun party with Mike's family and friends so that we could also get the all nighter to Cincy. Everything was full so we ended up staying in a hotel and having Safeway ham sandwiches along with Egg Nog for Christmas dinner. We made the best of it though. We totally enjoyed just being together and nobody knowing where we were.

So we won't be at Kirby's tonight but would love to see any pictures taken there tonight. Happy New Year!

25 years ago today I left my family and everything with which I was comfortable to go to Atlanta and become a Flight Attendant for Delta. Oh the adventures I have had and the places I have been. I have been amazingly lucky to love my career. The best part of it all has been the people that I have met and the lifelong friends that I have made including Jody Ferguson Capocelli. I am overflowing with gratitude.
