Mr Valentine Woyinenangasuo NDIOMU
Tribute
I met Valentine, a quarter of a century ago and at the first meeting, he kept to himself.
I had met the rest of the Ndiomu clan and had heard so much about him, being the eldest, so finally, when we did meet, it was something of an experience.
He had from my observation of him a deep mind that wanted to know what was what and who was who. Not to take things at face level but to make up his mind for what he accepted to come into his natural orbit.
A man of great passion and he lived to the full calling of his name, truly, he was a romantic.
He loved dancing and imparted, all he had to give. Energetic and very enterprising. From his all earthly endeavours, culled mostly, for the need to have company, to enjoy and jubilate and fellowship, it was always fun to be in his company. A man of many seasons.
Strangely as it may sound, his spiritual mien was deep. He attended daily Mass and he was present at the worship. In singing and prayer, you heard his voice, he was truly active. From all the Ndiomu clan, topped only by his dear mother, Aunty Grace, he was found in Church the most.
No wonder at his demise, his mother’s heart cried, ‘Suo’, of all my children you drove me to love and persistent attention, the most.
His passage at a most auspicious time of the year, the last day, will mean for time immemorial, we will always remember and never forget, Valo.
He lived a good life and was fair to all.
He was truly remarkable, with his wife, Gbemi, he kept his bond of love. For his five lovely daughters, the dearest jewels in his life, we pray that from up above, his prayers and love, will keep them safe, no harm or turmoil will come near them.
We pray for comfort, strength and peace for all left to mourn his demise.
Valentine, the Almighty will forgive all your frailties, grant you eternal rest, amen.
From up above, keep us all in the bond of love and make steady our progress in life, amen.
He will be sorely and truly missed.
