One of the sweetest, kind hearted person I have ever known. I'll never forget our youthful days on 14th and 15th streets, playing baseball in the field and you getting your brothers car and riding us around. Thanks for all the beautiful memories.
 God Bless you all.

May God strengthen and bless the family. I know Mother Beard was a wonderful, powerful woman of God because of the wonderful, powerful woman of God she brought into this world, Andrea Beard Dudley. Thank you Mother Beard, your legacy lives on through the work of Andrea and many others.

What can I say about Ms. Vera that hasn't already been shared? Although we only had the pleasure of being in her presence a few times, Tony and I loved her dearly! She brought such a gentle, kind spirit into the room wherever she was. She loved everyone--and was truly a great (funny) sports fan! We loved her--and laughed with her. Rest in God's presence, Ms. Vera. We'll see you soon!

May GOD continue to keep his loving arms around you and may his grace and mercy surround you in this time. Sister Beard was a wonderful person. I met her through her daughters and also as a church sister, then as the First Lady of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She will be truly missed. My prayers are with you.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Beard, but from the great tributes I have read here and meeting Sima and knowing Andrea, I can tell she was a great woman in the Lord. I believe when a person is full of the Lord and strength and courage it flows down to their children. To the family may God richly bless you, you have my prayers and sympathy...Much Love

We are seated in heavenly places so says the Word of God.  Looking at the photo of Mother Beard, I can assure you that she is where she has always been,in the presence of her LORD. "He shall wipe away all tears." Your tears are just Mom's entrance into the invisible incorruptible grace of God. Thanking God for her life which provided me with more sisters. Prayers, hugs and love.
